Ruby Stokes Davis, 97, of Fitzgerald, died Thursday, May 8 at the Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held 3 P.M., Saturday, May 10, at Arbor Baptist Church with Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Davis was born September 23, 1910 in Cartersville to the late Belle Stokes. She lived in the community most of her life. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a former employee of Fitzgerald Cotton Mill. Mrs. Davis was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Charles H. Davis of Valdosta and Harrell Davis of Zephyrhills, Fl; 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and one brother James C. Gaff of Ocilla. Along with her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Davis, two sons, Carl Davis and Johnny Davis and grandchildren, Susan Green & Joe Davis.
