WORCESTER-Jeanne N. (LeBoeuf) Dunphy, 78, of Worcester, died Wednesday, May 7th in her home. She leaves her husband, Thomas F. Dunphy, with whom she would have celebrated their 55th anniversary on Friday, May 9th; her daughter, Cathleen A. Dunphy of Cambridge; a niece, Michelle Hodges of Worcester; and many friends.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Dr. Victor LeBoeuf and Alma (Dupuis) LeBoeuf. Mrs. Dunphy was a 1947 graduate of South High School and attended Kathleen Dell Business School in Boston. She was employed by the Worcester School System as a secretary for 25 years until her retirement in 1994 and had previously been employed by various secretarial firms in Boston. Mrs. Dunphy was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church. She was an accomplished pianist, loved to dance and travel and had spent many winters in Florida. Mrs. Dunphy enjoyed life and had an infectious smile.
The funeral is Saturday, May 10th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be at a later date. A calling hour will be held the morning of the funeral from 8:30 until 9:30 in the funeral home.
