Obituary

Leo. H. Surprenant, age 49, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 5 at his home in Dracut.
He was born in Lowell on Sept. 8, 1958, the beloved son of Leo J. and Ann M. (Page) Surprenant of Dracut. Leo received his education through Lowell Schools and graduated from the Greater Lowell Technical High School. He resided in Dracut for the past 12 years and was a communicant of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
Leo was an avid New England sports fan and excelled at billiards and landscaping. He was also a friend of Bill W.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and Michael Torre of Dracut, and Lauretta Surprenant and James Kantaros of Boston; a niece, Kimberly Bomba and her husband Randall of Hudson, NH; a nephew, Bryan Robarge of Dracut; a grand niece, Skyler Bomba and two grand nephews, Joshua Ortiz and Corie Robarge; his godmother, Lorraine Grenon of Dracut; also several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. He was the godson of the late Albert "Rick" Grenon.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St.,Lowell on Friday, May 9, from 4 to 8pm. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment will be private at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
