Ludowici- Mrs. Ollie Davis, age 86, passed away at her residence Monday, May 5, 2008 after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Long County. She was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Davis. She is survived by three children, Troy and his wife Margie Davis of McIntosh County, Una Nell Davis of Ludowici, and Larry Dwain and his wife Blanche Davis of Ludowici; two granddaughters, Sandra Ryals and Kimberly Davis; two step-grandsons; Bill and Sammy Muse; one great-grandson, Connor Ryals; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2008 at 1:00 p. m. from the James R. Gordon Memorial Chapel of the Howard~Jones~Nobles Funeral Home with the Reverend Robert Long officiating. Interment will follow in Davis Cemetery in Long County. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers will be Bill Muse, Sammy Muse, Ritchie Ryals, Connor Ryals, Payton Davis and Larry Walter.
