Laconia-Beatrice Yvonne (St. Pierre) Papirio, 79, of 21 Ledges Drive died Monday, May 5, 2008 at Ledgeview, The Taylor Community, after a period of declining health.
Born in Salem, Massachusetts on May 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Aldea (Savoie) St. Pierre. Beatrice was raised and schooled in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, graduating from St. Joseph Catholic High School. Before moving to Laconia to be with her family she had lived for many years in Greenville, South Carolina.
Among Beatrice’s many interests, she enjoyed golf and traveling. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia.
Besides her parents, Beatrice is predeceased by her husband, Romeo Papirio in 2000.
Beatrice is survived by one brother, Armand St. Pierre and his wife Barbara of Laconia; two sisters, Cecile Clark and her husband George of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and Joan L. Chandler of Laconia; two step-sons, Richard Papirio and his wife Kerry of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, and Michael Papirio and his wife Susan of Huntington Beach, California. Many nieces, nephews, and step grandchildren also survive Beatrice.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2008 at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Gary J. Kosmowski pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Burial took place in the family lot at St. Joseph Cemetery, Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Monday, May 19, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. There were no visiting hours.
