Sharon L. Wypych, 44, of Westport passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at home after a courageous battle against cancer.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of Chester Wypych of Westport and the late Eleanor M. (Fish) Wypych. Miss Wypych worked as clerk for the Westport Historical Society and Bayside Restaurant in Westport. She was a member of the Allens Neck Friends Meeting in Dartmouth, where she served as organist for many years. She also enjoyed writing poetry.
Including her father, she is survived by her step-mother: Florence Wypych of Westport; maternal grandmother: Althea (Rogers) Fish of New Bedford; 2 sisters: Katherine M. Wypych-Minnehan of Westport and Christine A. Sylvia of Dartmouth; 2 step-sisters: Hope Hallett of Dartmouth and Joyce Skinner of Milwaukee, WI; 2 nieces; 2 nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, May 8, 2008 at the Allens Neck Friends Meeting, Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M.
Interment in Allens Neck Friends Meeting Cemetery, Dartmouth.
