Bernard Sedgwick, 90, a resident of North Andover, MA. passed away at his home on Thursday, May 1, 2008.
He was born on April 16th, 1918 in Lawrence, MA to Joseph and Catherine Sedgwick. He attended Lawrence High School. He served in the United States Army from 1939 until 1946 as a Medic. He was in Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 and later at the Philippines and Guadal Canal as a Staff Sergeant. He owned and operated a ceramic tile installation company in Methuen, MA. for more than 30 years until his retirement.
He is the husband of the late Elizabeth (Stronach) Sedgwick. He leaves two sons: Robert D. Sedgwick and his wife Elsa of Bedford, N.H. and James D. Sedgwick of Manchester, N.H. Also two grand daughters Julie A Markert and her husband Albert of New Ipswich, N.H. and Tristen Sedgwick of Auburn, N.H. Three great grand sons, and two nieces.
