TEWKSBURY: Senia I. (Savonen) Doldt, age 94, a Tewksbury resident for 33 years, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
She was the wife of the late John O. Doldt.
Born in Quincy on October 13, 1913, she was the daughter of the late David and Ida W. (Ferrare) Savonen.
Mrs. Doldt was raised in Quincy, attended Quincy schools and graduated from Quincy High School.
Following graduation, she attended the Burdette Business College in Boston.
Mrs. Doldt was employed as an executive secretary by the Spencer Machine and Tool Company of Boston until the time of her marriage to her late husband.
She resided in Melrose until moving to Tewksbury in 1975.
According to her family, she enjoyed square dancing, round dancing, gardening and collecting dolls.
She is survived by her children, Jeannette M. Faubert and her husband Richard of Meredith, NH, Elizabeth E. “Betty” Molvar and her husband Paul of Wilmington, MA, Nancy “Otie” Doldt-Harpin and her husband Thomas of Chelmsford and Marilyn O. “Mal” Zajac and her husband Peter, with whom she resided of Tewksbury; seven grandchildren, Peter Faubert, Heather (Faubert) Johnson, Kara Zajac, Wendy (Faubert) Stassens, Kristy (Zajac) Seagren, Stephen Harpin and Manuel “Manny” Harpin; nine great grandchildren, Brianna Faubert, Alex Faubert, Garrisson Johnson, Ryan Faubert, Teagan Johnson, Kevin Faubert, Wyatt Stassens, Jillian Faubert and Austin Seagren.
Mrs. Doldt was the sister of the late Norma Daly, Edwin and Arden Savonen.
Calling hours Sunday, May 4th, from 2-6 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Monday, May 5th, at 9 a.m., from the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., at St. William’s Church 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
