Carolyn LaCombe, 70

Dateline: Norwood, MA

Carolyn (Cleveland) LaCombe, 70, of Norwood formerly of Walpole and Newton died on Friday May 2, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Norwood.
Born in Newton, MA on January 31, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Laurence and Dorothy (Spooner) Cleveland.
She grew up in Newtonville, was educated in Newton schools and was a graduate of Newton High School. She furthered her studies by graduating from Newton Junior and had also attended Northeastern University.
Carolyn was a retired cashier and had worked for the Dean Street Car Wash in Norwood for over 15 years before retiring.
She was a member of the United Church in Walpole where she helped with child care on Sundays and was also a former Sunday school teacher. She was also a former active member of the Untied Church in Norwood.
Carolyn enjoyed indoor gardening and held a special place in her heart for animals.
She is survived her brother George Spooner Cleveland and his wife Carol of Milford, her niece Sarah Cleveland of Saugus, her nephew David Cleveland of Milford and grand nieces Ashlie, Jessica, Stephanie and Megan.
Memorial services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday May 6th at 7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield. Private burial will be held at a later date in Newton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 6:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
