Ronald H. Dodge, 54, of Campbell Drive, Litchfield, NH died Monday February 24, 2003 at the Elliot hospital, Manchester, NH following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Littleton, NH on September 8, 1948, a son of Irvena (Silver) Dodge and the late Herbert Dodge. He was a resident of Litchfield for 26 years, formerly living in Nashua, NH. He was a United States Army veteran. He was employed as an electrician for Buddy Electric, North Andover, MA. Mr. Dodge immensely enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, bird watching, skiing, boating, and camping. He loved motorcycles and tinkering on cars.
In addition to his mother of Lisbon, NH, he is survived by his wife Kathleen (Kinzer) Dodge, Litchfield, two sons, Brian C. (fiancé Shana Kaufman) Dodge, Hudson, NH, Bear Dodge, Litchfield, one daughter, Laura R. Dodge, Nashua, two grandchildren, Julie Dodge, J.J. Messier, both of Nashua, one sister, Virginia Lucas, Roseboro, N.C. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held Thursday February 27th from 2- 4 and 7 – 9 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. Private burial services will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club, 136 Water Street, Lawrence, MA 01841, Attn: Steve Kelly.
