Beloved father of Rosanne MacDonald of New Hampshire, Carolyn Myerow of Melrose, Paula Miranda of Salem, Peter Miranda, Jr. of North Reading, Paula Harrington of Saugus, Annelle Fernekees of Melrose and Linda Vallis of Lynnfield. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great grandfather of 9. Lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Carroll Funeral Home, 721 Salem Street (Maplewood Square) MALDEN on Monday morning, May 5th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Joseph's Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 10 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon from 2-5 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
Born in East Boston, Peter, at 92 years of age, passed away early Wednesday morning at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center in Revere after a short illness. Receiving rehabilitative care for the last 2 weeks at the Lighthouse, Peter has been a resident of Maplewood Place for the last two and a half years. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the court system, first as a court officer at the Newton District Court and then as Assistant Clerk Magistrate. In his retirement he spent years in Florida as well as Newton. An avid golfer, he was former President of the Massachusetts Court Officers of Massachusetts as well as a member of the New Port Richie Elks.
