WORCESTER___Jane J. (Jocz) Shaw, 91, of Worcester, formerly of South Dennis and North Grafton, died Monday April 28 in Saint Francis Home, 101 Plantation St. Her husband, Chester M. Shaw, died in 1989.
She leaves a sister, Catherine J. O’Connell of Worcester and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Marie T. Meduski and five brothers, Charles J. Jocz, John J. Jocz, Jr, Edward A. Joyce, Anthony E. Jocz and Joseph J. Jocz. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of John J. Jocz, Sr, and Malwina (Szewerenka) Jocz.
Mrs. Shaw was a credit manager many years for the former Denholm & McKay Co. and retired in 1980. She was a former member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and St. Pius X Church, West Yarmouth. She was also a member of the Cape Cod Hospital Guild, Hyannis. Mrs. Shaw was a graduate of Becker Junior College. Jane was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf with her husband. Mr. & Mrs. Shaw were married in 1938.
The funeral will be held on Friday May 2, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday May 2 in the funeral home.
