WORCESTER-Ann Elizabeth (Bovick) Carney, 91, of Worcester, died Saturday, April 26th in St. Francis Home. Her husband, Howard L. Carney, died in 1965. She leaves two sisters, Annette Girard and Mary Laing; two step-sons, Howard and John Carney, all of Worcester; and several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Shulut) Bovick and lived here all her life. Mrs. Carney was a waitress at the Lenox Hotel for many years and later worked at Culver-Stearns until retiring. She was a former member of Ascension Church.
The funeral is Monday, April 28th with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Ascension Church, 40 Vernon Street. At Ann’s request, there are no calling hours and she will be cremated.
