Alice W Holland 91 Alice W Holland of Needham died peacefully at her home in Needham on Febuary 18th at 91 years of age, after an extended illness. She has been a Needham resident for 58 years. Born in Dorchester, she grew up in North Quincy and graduated North Quincy High school. Alice was an active member in the town and served as a poll worker for 19 years at Precinct H. Alice participated in numerous organizations including, the Needham Garden club, Hospital Aid assoc., Wisteria Chapter #138, Order of the Eastern Star and a 31 year Tenure in the Christ Episcopal Church Alter Guild. She was an active volunteer in many school programs, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and community groups over the years, also knitting afghans for the VA or helping out at the Steeple Exchange. Wife of the late Gordon E Holland, She leaves her children, Joan H Zweil of Georgetown Ma and her husband Art; Susan H Curry of Atlantic Highlands N.J.and her husband Walt. Barbara S Holland-Emberton of Stonington CT and her husband Bill; and William E Holland of Needham and wife Amy. Sister of Janet Gossage of Westwood and the late Edith A Wann. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on Monday Feb. 24, 10:00 AM at the Christ Episcopal Church Chapel , 1132 Highland Ave. Needham.
