Long, James H. of Hingham April 22, 2008. Beloved husband of Mary M. (Holbrow) Long. Loving father of James T. Long of Honolulu, HI, Kathleen L. Jones of Hull, Patricia M. Long of Squantum, William E. Long of Foxboro, Mary L. Kilcomons of Waterford, CT, Robert J. Long of Georgetown, and Joanne M. Berthiaume of Ashland. Brother of Marilee Bent of Quincy, Jeremiah Long of Dorchester, and the late Thomas Long of Weymouth. Also survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
Jim worked as a teacher and vice principal during his 33 years with the Boston school system, retiring in 1993. He also helped establish the teaching program at UMass, Boston. For 10 years he volunteered as a Hingham Little League Coach. He enjoyed golf and traveling to FL.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul's Church, Hingham at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 PM.
Burial in MA National Cemetery at later date.
