Obituary

Gerald “Joe” Groh of Newton Highlands died on April 17, 2008 at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. He was 70.
Born and raised in Norwood he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Stop & Shop Grocery Stores in Norwood, Chestnut Hill, Dorchester and Stoughton as a produce manager.
Husband of the late Marilyn (Lynch) Groh, he was the brother of Kenneth and Russell Groh and Betty Wills all of Norwood and the late Emily, George, Annie, Marjorie, Arthur, Edward, Francis, Barbara, Robert, Richard, Donald, Claire, Ronald and James,
uncle of Jeanne Lynch, Joan DesJardins, Deborah Groh and great uncle of Gregory and Aidan DesJardins. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters in laws.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton & Mackay Funeral Home 465 Centre St. NEWTON CORNER on Sat April 19 at 9:30 AM and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church Newton Upper Falls at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Hood Cemetery in Brookline. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Fri from 4-8 PM
