Mrs. Almanza (Labranche) (Caouette) Savignac, age 103, died Tuesday morning at a local nursing home.
She was the wife of the late Leo Savignac and the late Joseph Caouette who died in 1951.
Born in Newmarket, NH, March 8, 1905, daughter of the late William and Roseanna (Labonte) Labranche.
Mrs. Savignac resided in Lowell and she was a member of the Senior Citizens of the Smith Baker Center. She was a parishioner of the former Ste. Jeanne D'arc Church.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed at Wannalancit Textile, of Lowell and she had previously been employed as a quilter at Newmarket Mills for over 25 years.
She is survived by 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters Theresa Watson and her husband James, Carmen Curley and her husband John, Irene Ouellette and her husband Donald and her son Louis Caouette and his wife Mary. She was also the grandmother of the late James W. Watson and Michael D. Curley.
Relatives and friends will be received at the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Friday morning from 7:30 - 8:30 am followed by her Funeral Mass that will be celebrated at St. Rita's Church at 9 o'clock. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
