Beatrice (Parker) Levine, a resident of Silver Spring, MD & formerly of West Roxbury, entered into rest on April 16, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Myron Levine.
Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Louis & Jeanette (Silver) Parker, Mrs. Levine attended Boston Memorial High School & the Boston Clerical Business School. She was employed as a real estate agent & also assisted her husband in the operation of his pharmacy in Milton. Mrs. Levine moved to Silver Spring, MD in 1986.
An active community member, Mrs. Levine was past president of the Sisterhood of Temple Kehillath Israel in Brookline, member of the B’Nai Brith Pharmaceutical Lodge, past president, co-president, & active fundraiser for the Jewish Theological Seminary, & past president of the New England Region Torah Fund. She loved opera, symphony, & theatre & was an avid card player who enjoyed Bridge, Canaster, & Mahjong. Mrs. Levine was also very active in numerous fundraising projects for the Conservative Jewish Movement.
Mrs. Levine is survived by her loving daughter, Marjorie S. Lappen & her husband Arthur of Potomac, MD; her loving grandchildren, Julie Abramson & her husband Daniel & Erika Regnier; her loving great-granddaughter Janet Sophie Abramson; & her dear brother Theodore Parker & his wife Lois of North Easton.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2008 in Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon at 2:45 PM. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the Jewish Foundation For Group Homes at www.JFGH.org.
