Obituary

Beth Anne Bauer 29, of Milford and a former longtime Franklin resident died Wednesday April 16, 2008 at Children’s Hospital in Boston, following a lifelong illness.
Born in Osmond, Nebraska, February 21, 1979 she was the daughter of former Franklin Town Administrator Wolfgang Bauer of Franklin and Evelyn (Hinesley) Bauer of Milford. She lived in Nebraska for 10 years until moving to Massachusetts. The family moved to Franklin in 1988, and she graduated Franklin High School in 1997. She also attended Community College of Rhode Island where she majored in travel and tourism. Her passion in life was travel and she visited five of the seven continents.
Beth was born with cystic fibrosis, and received a double lung transplant in 2002. She was a strong advocate for organ donations, and frequently was a guest speaker at medical group gatherings and meetings.
With Beth, it wasn’t necessarily the young age of her passing, but the mileage she covered in those short years. She lived life to the fullest and cramped a lifetime of experiences into her short life on earth.
Surviving in addition to her parents is her paternal grandfather Eduard Bauer in Germany, a brother Sgt. Wayne J. Bauer stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, and many loving friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service Sunday April 20, 2008 at 2:00PM at the New England Chapel 40 Kenwood Circle (off Grove St.) Franklin. Pastoral Care Director Wendy Dahl will officiate. Interment is private. Following the service, an invitation will be extended for continued fellowship and refreshment with the family in the parish hall.
Calling hours at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) are Saturday April 19, 2008 from 2-6PM.
If desired donations in her memory sent to Children’s Hospital Trust c/o Pediatric Transplant Center 94483-01 Attn. Kathleen Hadley 300 Longwood Ave. (Hunnewell 327) Boston, MA 02115 would be appreciated.
