Obituary

Annunziato “Nunzi” DiGenni 70, of Franklin, died Monday April 14, 2008 at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence, where he had been a patient for 1 week. He was the husband of Giovina (Pasquini) DiGenni.
Born in Abruzzi, Italy February 12, 1938 a son of Consiglia (Milanese) DiGenni of Italy, and the late Michele DiGenni, he came to America in 1969 and settled in Franklin where he lived ever since.
Until his retirement several years ago, he worked as a textile worker and handler for the Clark Cutler McDermott Company in Franklin. He also worked for many years for the former Buckley & Mann Company in Norfolk.
He loved the ocean, and enjoyed gardening & travel, especially back to his homeland, Italy.
He was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the American Association of Retired Persons and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 50 years and his mother is a son Michael DiGenni of Blackstone, two daughters Connie Connell of Milford and AnnaMaria Durvin of Cumberland and two sisters Rose Sacco and Lucia Sacco in Italy and a granddaughter Rachel Connell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Friday April 18, 2008 at 8:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. www.franklinfuneral.com., with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
