Alice D. Montanari, 88 of Adams St. died Saturday in Steere House in Providence. She was the wife of the late Nello Montanari. Mrs. Montanari was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Arthur and Donalda (Allaire) Goulet. Mrs. Montanari was a secretary for the City of Woonsocket Planning Department retiring in 1975. She loved gardening , cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Montanari is survived by a son William Montanari of Woonsocket, a brother Alexander Goulet of Bellingham, a sister Jeannette Ledoux of Woonsocket, three grandchildren, William Montanari II of Temple TX, Kelly Ann Montanari-Whaley of Wakefield, and Casey Marie Montanari of Narragansett, and four great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Arthur Goulet and Irene Gauthier.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting hours are Thursday 6-8 pm.
