Obituary

Ronald Correia, 76, of Dartmouth, died April 15, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
He was the husband of Florence A. (Widuch) Correia.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Manuel and Josephine (Marshall) Correia, he lived in Dartmouth since 1961.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
Mr. Correia was formerly employed by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years until his retirement.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He enjoyed restoring cars.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nancy Lally and her husband Richard, of Acushnet; a daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Correia of Henderson, NV; a brother, Leonard Correia and his wife Mary, of Dartmouth; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Correia and Stephen Correia; a niece; 2 nephews; and many loyal and loving friends.
He was the father of the late Paul S. Correia.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 19th at 9 AM in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will follow in South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours Friday, April 18th from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Foundation for Hematology Research, c/o Cancer Center of Boston, 15 Caswell Lane, Plymouth, MA 02360.
