Founding partner of Sloane and Walsh, Attorneys at Law in Boston, beloved husband of Marilyn (Burke) of Arlington, proud father of David J. and his wife Martha (Richardson) of Mansfield and Christopher M. and his wife Maureen (Adams) of Foxborough. Also survived by four loving grandchildren Meredith, Spencer, Stephen and Carolyn, as well as several nieces and nephews. Devoted son of the late Mary (Brennan) and Joseph Martin Walsh of West Roxbury. Brother of Elizabeth Keefe of Andover, Mary Cashin of New York and Cotuit.
Graduate of Roxbury Latin (1941), Harvard University Class of 1945 (graduated 1947 due to war) and Boston College Law School (1950), Army veteran of WWII, Vice Chairman of the Boston Redevelopment Authority Board of Directors, member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Corp., the Harvard Club, Charles River Country Club and Foxfire Country Club in Naples FL, and an accomplished musician.
Family and friends are invited to attend a brief ceremony at The Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury on Friday April 18, at 8:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM in Saint Theresa of Avila Chapel, 2078 Centre St., West Roxbury.
Commital to be held at McGuire Chapel, St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 990 LaGrange St., West Roxbury at 11:30AM.
