Antonio H. Martins, age 73, of Fall River & formerly of Stuart St. Husband of Clementina P. (Revoredo) Martins. Passed away in Boston April 15, 2008. Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores the son of the late Gilberto Carvalho Martins & Claudina de Jesus (Revoredo) Martins. Before retiring, he was a Farmer at Hoogendorn Nurseries, Middletown, RI. He was a member of St. Michael Church & of the Afonso Costa Republican Club. He enjoyed his family, fishing, & gambling at Foxwoods Casino.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 8 Children: Dacino & Fernando Martins, Maria L. Furtado, Tina Lynch, & Helena & Julieta Martins all of Fall River. Manuel A. Martins of Azores, & Alfonso Martins of Douglasville, GA. 1 Brother: Gilbert Martins of Capelas, Sao Miguel, Azores.5 Sisters: Dovelina Martins, Vedelea Ponto all of Sao Miguel, Azores; Marciana Martins & Martha Ferreira of East Prov., & Maria Botelho of Stoughton. 6 Grandchildren. Many nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late Emedeo Martins.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 8:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Michael Church at 9:00 AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
