John Cabral Sr., age 87 of Somerset. Husband of the late Lucreza (Lopes) Cabral. Passed away April 13, 2008 at his home. Born in Tiverton, RI. Son of the late Manuel & Marianna Pimental. Prior to retiring, he worked as a Roofer for 35 yrs. at National Roofing. He was a member of the Roofers Union Local #33 of Boston, the Bayview Holy Ghost Club of Tiverton. He enjoyed dancing & gardening. He was an avid Red Sox fan. He was a member of St. Thomas More Church.
He is survived by a son: John Cabral Jr. of Somerset. l Sister: Pearl Fernandes of Cranston, RI. He was the father of the late Florence E. Cabral, & brother of the late Mamie Arruda.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Thomas More Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Fall River. Calling Hours Tuesday 5-9 P.M.
