Stephen J. Coughlin died on April 11th at Mass. General Hospital in Boston surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 74. Born in Boston on July 14, 1933 to Francis and M. Mildred (Cole) Coughlin, he graduated from Mission High School. Stephen served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Stephen has lived in Plymouth for 6 ½ years after living in Brewster for 17 years, where he moved to after living in Gloucester. He was a member of the Captain’s Golf Course in Gloucester and in Plymouth, he was a member of the White Cliff’s Golf Course. He was an avid golfer and also enjoyed gardening. Stephen and his wife Audrey owned Audreys’ Flower Shop in Gloucester and after moving to Brewster he worked as a whole sale distributor at the Boston Flower Exchange. Stephen is survived by his loving wife Audrey (Walters) of Plymouth and his children, Stephen Coughlin and his wife Deborah of Dedham, John Coughlin of Attleboro, Michael Coughlin of Walpole, Donna Harris and her husband Richard of Norwood, Thomas Coughlin of Attleboro and Karen Sansone of Cumberland, RI. He also leaves his step-children Kim Binette and her husband Steven of Raymond, NH; Kathy Orlando and her husband Chris of Gloucester, Kris Munroe and her husband Tyler of N. Andover and Eric Russell and his wife Maria of Gloucester. Stephen also leaves his brothers Francis Coughlin of NY; Paul Coughlin of Lynn, and Gerard Coughlin of Plymouth, his sisters Maureen Eosco of Jamaica Plain and Elizabeth Doyle of Braintree, 25 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Brother of the late Edward Coughlin. A funeral mass will be held on Monday April 14th at St. Bonaventure’s Church at 10AM. Burial is private. Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt. 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday April 13th from 2 to 6 PM.
