Kathy Brennan 62, died Thursday April 10th in her home after a long term illness. She was the beloved wife for 40 years to Walter F. Brennan.
Born in San Francisco she was the daughter of Violet (Jordan) Danila of Collinsville, CT and the late Vyta Danila. She grew up in Connecticut, attended Connecticut schools and was a graduate of Central Connecticut Sate College.
Kathy was a resident of Whitman for 37 years, and was an active member of the Whitman Mother’s Club. In the years when her daughters were young she was also active in Brownies and Camp Fire Girls. She was a communicant of the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman.
Kathy worked for many years in the courtesy booth at Stop & Shop of Abington and loved taking care of the elderly customers who came to her booth.
The joys of her life were her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and mother she is survived by her son, Wally Brennan of Hanson, her daughters Jennifer Jones and Kelly Eaton both of Plymouth, her brother Edward Danila of Washington State, her sister Patricia Jones of CT. and her grandchildren Zachary & Brandon Eaton, Brayden & Hannah Jones, and Amber Brennan.
Her services will be held Monday April 14th at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10 AM in the Holy Ghost Church. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery, Whitman. Visiting hours will be held Sunday April 13th from 5-8 PM.
