Obituary

WILMINGTON: Conrad F. “Connie” Ryder, age 74, a lifelong resident of Wilmington, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Blaire House of Tewksbury.
Born in Wilmington on January 14, 1934, he was the son of the late Raymond P. and Hannah D. (Kennedy) Ryder.
Connie attended Wilmington schools.
He was a lifelong member of Saint Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church of Wilmington.
Mr. Ryder worked for many years as an assembler for the General Electric Company in Billerica.
According to his family, he enjoyed raising and caring for horses and competed in many equestrian events in local rodeos. In addition, he enjoyed fishing, and riding his bicycle around the Town of Wilmington to visit his many friends.
He is survived by one sister, Muriel I. Toomey of Delaware; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth E. (Brazee) Ryder of Tewksbury; five nephews, Joseph, Steven and Bradford Zmierski and Wayne and Brian Ryder; one niece, Pamela J. (Ryder) Goody.
Mr. Ryder was the brother of the late Milton E. Ryder, who died December 19, 2007.
Calling hours will be held Monday, April 14th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by his funeral service to be held at the funeral home. Interment at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the M.S.P.C.A., c/o Nevins Farm, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01844 are suggested.
