Obituary

Barbara (Lepordo) Morani, of Somerville, died Wednesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 59.

Barbara was born in Waterville, Maine. Raised in Medford, Barbara lived in Somerville nearly 40 years. In her early years she worked as an operator for AT&T and as a candy maker at the former Schraffts Company in Charlestown. She also worked at the 350 Food Mart in Somerville. She loved the Red Sox, but most of all she was a good wife, mother and grandmother who was dedicated to her family and friends.

She was the beloved wife of Daniel with whom she shared 40 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother to Tracy Morani of Somerville, Gina Raposo and her husband Joe of Everett, Danielle Lima and her husband Roberto of Somerville, Jaimie Morani and her companion Derek of Somerville. She was a loving grandmother to Samantha, Ashley, Alysa and Jayden. She was the dearest daughter of Doris (Marshall) Lepordo and the late Joseph, Sr. She was the daughter-in-law of the late Francis and Jeanette Morani. She was the sister of Anthony Lepordo and his wife Debra of Fla., the late James Marshall and Joseph Lepordo, Jr. She was the sister-in-law of Mary Ellen Lepordo of Medford and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters-in-law. Best friend of Kathleen Morani.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
