LOWELL - Helen I. (Supple) Connerton, 89, a resident of Lowell, and formerly a resident of Dracut and New Hampshire, died on Thursday, April 10, 2008, in Town & Country Nursing Center in Lowell. She was the beloved wife, for over 40 years, of the late John J. Connerton, who died in 1980.
She was born in Nashua, NH, on July 24th, 1918, the daughter of the late John J. and the late Inez M. (Damon) Supple and graduated high school from New Hampshire schools.
Mrs. Connerton was a World War II United States Navy veteran.
Helen was employed by United States Department of the Air Force where she worked as a civil service administrative support professional for many years, until retiring in 1985.
She was active in the Dracut Senior Center for many years.
Mrs. Connerton is survived by several cousins including, Mary Nagle of Lowell; her god daughter, Nancy Viera; one niece; and friends, Joseph Godfroy of Dracut and Barbara Dickenson of Dracut.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Saturday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 AM in St. Marguerite D'Youville Church in Dracut. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery in Lowell.
