Cynthia Faye Barnett, beloved wife of Paul Cleary of Branford CT, formerly of Newton, passed away Mon evening April 7, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a long struggle with breast cancer. Cynthia was born on Nov 16, 1950 in Philadelphia, MS, daughter of Stanley and Estelle Barnett of MS. She attended Samford Univ. in Alabama and the Univ. of Alabama and received a Ph. D. in sociology from the Univ. of Wisconsin and a J.D. from Yale Law School. She worked for many years as an attorney in Boston for Bingham McCutchen and then Goulston & Storrs, before moving to Branford, CT in 2006. A loving mother and wife, as well as a brilliant scholar and attorney, she loved bird watching, nature, travel, reading, art, and all the joys of life. She will be forever loved and missed by her husband Paul, her children, Janet and Barnett, her parents, her brother Thomas Barnett, other relatives and all who knew her. Visiting hours will be held in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave (Exit 19 B off Rte 128) NEEDHAM on Fri from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sat Apr 12 at 10:30 AM in Sacred Heart Church 1321 Centre St. Newton Centre. Burial will follow at Mt.
