WILMINGTON: Marjorie Ethelynd (Parris) Ljunggren, age 88, a resident of Wilmington for 50 years, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Youville Hospital in Cambridge, following an extended illness.
She was the wife of William O. Ljunggren, who died June 9, 1992.
Born in Somerville on September 3, 1919, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Laura I. (Howle) Parris.
Marjorie was raised in Cambridge, Somerville and Woburn.
She attended Woburn schools.
Marjorie dedicated her life to her family and previously worked at the Hartnett Trophy Company of Woburn for 10 years.
According to her family, she enjoyed tending her vegetable garden and caring for animals both domestic and wild.
She is survived by her children, Carla Dionne of Tewksbury, Laura Gillis of Clearwater, FL, Barbara Donahue of Alger, MI and Errol Johnson of Wilmington; one sister, Donna Johnson of Cambridge; one brother Douglas Kelly of Billerica; nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
At her request funeral services are private. Memorial contributions to the M.S.P.C.A, c/o Hillside Acres Pet Cemetery, 400 Broadway, Methuen, MA 01884 are suggested.
