Norma I. Morgan, 90, of Chester, NH, died Monday, April 7, 2008 in her home. Mrs. Morgan was born in Springhill, NS, Canada on March 24, 1918, a daughter of the late Norman and Catherine V. (Spence) Turnbull. She was a resident of Chester for the past 14 years, formerly living in Haines City, Fl and Windham, NH. Mrs. Morgan enjoyed traveling, knitting and spending time with her family. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her son, Leonard Morgan of Chester; two grandchildren, Laura Walsworth and her husband David of Penacook, NH, and William Morgan and his wife Yukiko of Windham; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Walsworth of Penacook, and Collin Morgan of Windham; her daughter-in-law, Alice Morgan of Millinocket, ME; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William A. (Billy) Morgan in 1980, and her son William N.C. Morgan, Sr. in 2006.
Calling hours were held on Thursday, April 10th from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday at 10:30am in St. Anne Church, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH. The burial followed in the Cemetery on the Hill in Windham.
