Manchester– Yvonne J. (Duchesne) Landry, 98, died April 6, 2008 at Mount Carmel Nursing Home following a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on January 17, 1910, the daughter of Joseph and Diana (Boivin) Duchesne, and had been a lifelong resident of the city.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for P&M Manufacturing, and G & M Bakeries.
She was a member of St. Anne Sodality of St. Augustin Church, and a lifetime member of Precious Blood Legion of Mary.
She was a fun loving, energetic woman who enjoyed bingo, and most of all entertaining for her family.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward A Landry, on September 11, 1992, her daughter Janet M. Landry in 1942, daughter Lorraine Heafield, on January 19, 2007 and her grandson Marc Lacourse, on February 25, 2007.
Family members include her son Ronald J. Landry, and his wife Judy, of Claremont, 2 daughters Mrs. Robert (Rita) Lacourse, of Manchester, Mrs. Paul N. (Claire) Morin, of Goffstown, 14 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren, 4 greatgreatgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In Her Life: She also leaves a sister in law Anita Duchesne, of Manchester.
Services: Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 am in St. Anthony Church, Belmont St.
Burial will follow in St. Augustin Cemetery.
