Obituary

WORCESTER___Eleanor D. (Genander) Siemaszko, 80, of Miscoe Road, died Monday April 7, 2008 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

She leaves her husband of 60 years, Thaddeus S. “Teddy” Siemaszko, two sons, Mark S. Siemaszko and his wife Karen of Upton and Thaddeus S. Siemasko of Beverly; a daughter, Deborah Karlgren and her husband Paul of Shrewsbury; six grandchildren, Sarah, Benjamin, Dana, Derek, Emma and Abby, one great-grandson, Declan, a brother, Paul Genander of Beachwood, NJ, two sisters, Marilyn Stake and Marjorie McCormick, both of Worcester and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Paul and Eva (Ledoux) Genander and lived here all her life.

Mrs. Siemaszko was a bookkeeper for the law firm of Milton, Laurence and Dixon and worked there 15 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Eleanor was a graduate of Commerce High School. She enjoyed traveling and square dancing and was a member of the Silver Sneakers exercise group.

The funeral will be held on Thursday April 10, 2008 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday April 9, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Junior / Senior High School, 50 Richland Street, Worcester, Ma., 01610 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
