Jean Uebel

Gray Court, S.C. - Jean (Bartlett) Uebel, age 56, died Friday, Feb. 21, at her home, after a lengthybattle with cancer. She was the wife of Ernst L. Uebel, with whom she had celebrated a 19thwedding anniversary this past Oct. 22..

She was born in Springfield, Vermont, Dec. 5, 1946, a daughter of Eleanor "Lee" (Cocco)Bartlett of Pelham, NH, and the late George Bartlett. She was raised in Tewksbury andgraduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the class of 1964. She moved to NH, in1985, and then to South Carolina in 1994.

Before moving to S.C., she was the owner of FaFa’s Café in Hillsboro, NH. She employed as areal estate agent by A.B.R. Properties Unlimited in Simsonville, S.C. at the time of her death, andwas a member of the Laurence County Board of Realtors.

She was a member of the Laurence County Chapter of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter DaySaints.

Mrs. Uebel enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family “hangingout.” She will be fondly remembered for her passion for life.

Besides her husband and mother she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lee andher husband Matthew Boyd of Bennington, NH, a step-daughter; Martina Uebel of W. Germany,and a step-son; Rahn Thompson of Omaha, NB, a brother and sister-in-law, Albert and his wifeBarbara (Bechard) Bartlett of Pelham, NH, and two grandchildren, Helene Uebel of W. Germanyand Brodi Thompson of Neb.

Her Funeral Service was held Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Billerica Church of JesusChrist of Latter Day Saints. Burial was be in Tewksbury Cemetery.
