Marie L. Greene, formerly of Montdale, died Friday in the Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, N.Y. She was the wife of William J. Greene for more than 34 years.
Born in Montdale, daughter of Mary Zipay Shalkey, Sturges, and the late Alex Shalkey, she was a graduate of Scott High School and worked as a registered nurse at Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y., and most recently at Rochester General Hospital.
Also surviving are a daughter, Andrea Hedgecock, Amherst, N.Y.; a brother, Alex Shalkey, Vestal, N.Y.; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Shalkey.
Funeral services will be Wednesday from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Mass at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, RR 1 Box 389, Montdale. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Montdale.
