Simone C. Baril 85, formerly of Lucille St. died Saturday in Hebert Nursing Home in Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Joseph Henry Baril. Mrs. Baril was born in Forge Village, MA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Fredricka (Aubry) Lamy. Mrs. Baril worked for Mark Stevens Warehouse for over ten years retiring twenty three years ago. She had also worked at several area textile mills. Mrs. Baril volunteered for over twenty years at Landmark Medical Center, she also volunteered at Globe Park School. Mrs. Baril was an avid bingo player, she enjoyed knitting, and donated knitted bonnets to the hospital for the new born babies.
Mrs. Baril was the beloved mother of Edgar R. and his wife Karolyn, Baril of Woonsocket, Diane B. and her husband John J,. Dyndur of Woonsocket, with whom she lived and Suzanne Beauregard of SC. She was the sister of Raymond Lamy of Dracut, MA. and beloved grandmother of Christopher J. Baril, Cindy-Sue Girard, Kelly Anne Dyndur, Jason and Erin Beauregard.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:00 am. from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am., in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Monday, 4-7 pm.
