Obituary

DRACUT - Janet (Will) McMahon, 74, a resident of Dracut, died quietly at home after complications from cancer on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008, with her family by her side.

Janet was the wife of Leo A. McMahon, who died in 2002. Born on December 28th, 1933, and raised in Charlestown, MA. She was the daughter of the late Margaret "Rita" (Donoghue) and the late Charles Will.

She was a graduate of Catherine Laboure School of Nursing. For over 40 years she was a dedicated nurse at Somerville and Central Hospitals and Greater Lowell nursing facilities.

She was an active parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Francis Church in Dracut.

In her retirement, Janet enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren at Christmas time.

She is survived by, her daughter, Maura Renaud and her husband William of Dracut, MA; three sons, Michael McMahon and his wife Cindy of Rochester, NH; Thomas McMahon and his wife Tammy of Lowell, MA, and Leo F. McMahon of Dracut; her daughter-in-law Barbara (Sullivan) McMahon; five grandchildren, Peter McMahon, Billy Renaud, Greg Renaud, Michael McMahon, and Sean McMahon ; two great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Will of Lawrence, MA and John Will and his companion Elaine Carrabis of East Boston, MA; in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. James McMahon, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard McMahon, Mrs. Ann Craven, Ms. Maura McMahon, Mrs. Sally McMahon; and her beloved dog Trinity.

She was also the mother of the late William and the late Sheila McMahon, as well as the sister-in-law of the late Francis McMahon, the late Richard McMahon, and the late Martin McMahon.

Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT on Monday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM in St. Francis Church in Dracut. Interment in Oakland Cemetery in Dracut. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut, MA 01826 or to the Saints Medical Center, Cancer Center, 2 Hospital Drive, Lowell, MA 01852.
