Obituary

John M. Grenon, 85, of Holliston, died Thursday, April 3, 2008 at his home.

Born in Springfield on April 12, 1922, he was a son of the late Edward & Margaret (MacInnes) Grenon. Mr. Grenon was a resident of Holliston for the past 15 years and formerly resided in Framingham and New Bedford.

He attended Framingham High School, Class of 1940 and was a WWII Army veteran, attaining the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Before retirement, Mr. Grenon was an insurance and real estate agent and accountant in the Boston area. After retirement, he worked at BayPath Elder Services in Framingham for 11 years.

Mr. Grenon was a member of the American Legion, the V.F.W. and the Masons. He enjoyed playing darts and horseshoes and also enjoyed ballroom dancing.

He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by; his children, Jean Grenon of Brighton, John of Franklin, Roberta Revell of Medway, Steven of Milford, Gayle Grenon of Franklin and Laurie Grenon of Woonsocket, RI. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and his longtime companion, Norma Joyce of Millis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at Edgell Grove Cemetery in Framingham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the MetroWest Hospice, 85 Lincoln St., Framingham, MA 01702.

Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway.
