WORCESTER-Dennis L. Besaw, 65, of 1050 Main St., died Thursday, December 20th in UMass-Memorial Healthcare/Memorial Campus after an illness. He is survived by his ex-wife Dorothy (Mayotte) Besaw; his daughter Heather D. Bercune of Pinellas Park, FL; his mother Elva M. (LeClare) Besaw; three step-sons, Frederick A. and Ronald J. Besaw both of Worcester and Paul D. Besaw of Leicester; three brothers Frederick A. and Paul H. Besaw both of Worcester and Ralph J. Besaw of Whittinsville; a sister Rosalie E. Mayotte of Worcester; two grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
He was born in Northbridge his father was Leo J. Besaw, and had lived in Worcester most of his life. He attended Sutton High School. Retiring in 1999 Mr. Besaw was a self contracting carpenter all of his working life. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.
The funeral will be held Saturday, December 22nd in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home 592 Park Avenue with a service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Monday, December 24th at 9:00 AM. A calling hour will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday, December 22nd in the funeral home.
