Anna DeFlumeri, 83 of Medford, died Saturday unexpectedly in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA. Born in East Boston, she was a long time Medford Resident who devoted herself to community service and was the daughter of the late Mary (DiBello) and Peter DiTroia. She always placed other’s needs and concerns ahead of her own. Anna for many years was the soloist for weddings and funerals at the former St. James Church in Medford. She also was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 1012 in Medford.
Beloved wife of Angelo DeFlumeri. Devoted mother of Peter DeFlumeri and his wife Mary of Raymond, NH, Donna Basile and her husband James of Medford, Robert DeFlumeri and his companion Abbey Sochat of Stoneham, Edward DeFlumeri and his wife Beverly of Billerica. Loving grandmother of Jason and James Basile, Melanie, Daniel, Robert, Michael, Nicholas and Brianna DeFlumeri. Sister of Norma Flener of Winchester, Mildred Corrado of Saugus, Judith Dibilio of FL, Franklin DiTroia of NH and the late Marie Ciaccio, and Elizabeth “Snooky” Piercy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
