Obituary

Roland G. “Pete” Lacerte, 87, of Manchester, died March 30, 2008, at the Hillsborough County Healthcare facility after a long illness.
He was born in Manchester, on April 12, 1920, and was the son of Albert and Eva (Bourassa) Lacerte. Roland had been a member of St. Marie parish.
Roland received his education at local schools, and later served with the United States Armed forces in both World War II and the Korean conflict.
He later went on to work at Associated Grocers in Manchester.
Mr. Lacerte was a member of the League of 1000 men of the Precious Blood, the Veterans of Foreign Wars,post # 8214 of Manchester, and the American Legion, William H. Jutras, post, #43.
Roland will be remembered for his love of puzzles, playing yahtzee and video games with his family. He enjoyed having breakfast on Thursday morning at Blake's Restaurant with his daughter and great granddaughter as well as Saturday grocery shopping dates with his daughters.

Family members include 3 daughters, Vivian Provencher, of Goffstown, Janice Neveu, of Goffstown; Diane Martin, of Leesville, SC; a son Dennis Lacerte, of Goffstown; 2 sisters, Jeanne Lagasse, Gilberte Lacerte, both of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris (Laliberte) Lacerte, Novembert 21, 1998.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday April 3, 2008 at St Marie Church, Notre Dame Ave., Manchester.
Burial followed in Mt. Calvary cemetery, Goffstown Rd. Manchester.
