Maria A. (Mulone) Bordonaro passed away on March 29, 2008. She was 56 years old.
Born in Belgium, France, Maria came to the United States when she was 5 years old. She grew up in Somerville and was a longtime resident there. She also resided in Malden for 30 years and worked for many years for Century Bank in Medford as a mail processor.
Maria was the devoted wife of Salvatore Bordonaro, her loving husband of 31 years. She was the daughter of the late Pietro and Maria Mulone and the beloved mother of Angela Bordonaro of Dracut, Maria Covino and her husband George of Methuen, Calogero Bordonaro and his wife Kathleen of Haverhill and Patricia Bordonaro of Malden. She was the dear sister of Delina D’Anna, Jean Bordonaro and the late Nina Golisano and Carmelo Mulone. Maria was the cherished grandmother of Giovanni, Nina and Gia Covino and Emmalina Bordonaro. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Tuesday, April 1st at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Monday, March 31st from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Hill Mausoleum, Malden.
