Irene P. (Trudel) Duchesne 81, formerly of Heather Dr., died Tuesday March 25, in Woonsocket Health Center. She was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Octave and Anna (Beneteau) Trudel. Mrs. Duchesne is also predeceased by her husband the late Leo J. Duchesne.
Mrs. Duchesne worked as a seamstress for several area textile mills including the Needlecraft and Turfer companies of Woonsocket retiring in 1991.
She enjoyed boating on Lake Winnipesaukee with her family for many years. Her greatest joy however, was Peanut, her cocker spaniel, whom she doted on and spent most of her time with.
Mrs. Duchesne is survived by her loving daughter Susanne Schofield and her husband Craig, two loving grandchildren; Kenneth Allard, and Catherine Bessette and her husband Arthur, and three great grandchildren Jessica, Brandon, and Gabrielle Bessette (children of Arthur and Catherine), all of which reside in Woonsocket. She was a loving wife, mother, grand mother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her late husband she was also predeceased by her brother Arthur Trudel and her sister Anna Flynn.
