Franklin H. "Frank" Cosmos, 76, of Dartmouth died February 19, 2003 unexpectedly at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He was the husband of Elsie (Leonard) Cosmos,and son of the late Joseph and Adelaide (Lemos) Cosmos.
Mr. Cosmos was born in New Bedford and had lived in Dartmouth for 49 years.
Mr. Cosmos was formerly employed with Steamfitter's Union Local 51 in Rhode Island for over 50 years until his retirement. He had also served as Secretary and Shop Steward with the Union and as Vice-president of the executive board of Local #644.
He was an avid Bocce player and home beer brewer. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife; 2 daughters, Kathleen Roberts of Monument Beach, and Laurie Roberts of Fairhaven;5 brothers, Rev. John Cosmos of Freetown, and William Cosmos, Joseph Cosmos, Robert Cosmos, and Frederick Cosmos, all of Connecticut; 2 sisters, Joan Labonte and Beverly Hurbon, both of Connecticut; 4 beloved grandchildren, Barret Roberts, Tanya Roberts, Bridgett Roberts and Angelique Roberts; and 2 great-grandchildren, Elijah and Jakob.
He was the father of the late Gary F. Cosmos, and brother of the late Lawrence Cosmos, Charles Cosmos and Teresa Cosmos.
A Celebration of his Life will be held Saturday, February 22st from 1-4:30 PM at the Century House 107 South Main St., Acushnet.
Visiting hours are omitted.
