Raymond A. Cambray, age 59, died Friday, March 28, at his home in Brookline, NH after a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Kathy (Sawyer) (Prosek) Cambray.
He was born in Lowell, Dec. 5, 1948, the son of the late Raymond and Theresa (Cloutier) Cambray. Ray resided in Brookline, NH for the past seven years and was formerly of Tyngsboro.
He attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell Trade High School in 1966. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Postal Worker with the United States Postal Service for 26 years. Ray was a member of the American Legion Post 247 in Tyngsboro, the CCA Club and the Club Passe Temps.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his companion, Buddy; a son, Ryan Cambray and two granddaughters, Ava Renee and Lola Skye of Somerville, MA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Danielle and Michael Ferrero and a grandson, Jamison, of San Francisco, CA, and Renee Cambray of Assonet, MA; an aunt, Toni Desrosiers of Lowell; a brother-in-law, Rod Wendelgest and his wife Claire of Brookline, NH; lifelong friends, Stanley Irons of Lowell and Regina Beaubien of San Francisco, CA; his former wife, Rita Cambray of Chelmsford; also many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was the brother of the late Jeanne Hartley, Doris Wendelgest and Claire Cambray.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Sunday, March 30 from 11am to 3pm. A Prayer Service will then take place at the Funeral Home at 3pm. Interment will be private.
