WEBSTER - Fernanda J. “Fanny” (Kretowicz) Borski, 97, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2008. Her husband of 38 years, John P. “Jim” Borski, passed away in 1985.
She leaves her loving sister, Olga W. Pendrak of Webster; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and her close friend and caregiver, Lori J. Rand of Webster. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Helen Stawasz, Frances Nowacki and Stasia Kaczynski, and by 3 brothers, Charles, Felix and Theodore Kretowicz.
She was born in Webster on January 8, 1911, a daughter of Peter and Sophie (Mozdzierz) Kretowicz and was a lifelong resident.
Mrs. Borski was a stitcher at Bates Shoe Company for over 40 years before retiring in 1973.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Sacred Heart Society. She enjoyed flower gardening and baking.
The funeral will be held Monday, March 31, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 8:45 to 9:30 AM Monday, March 31, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund or to the Saint Joseph School Immediate Needs Fund, both 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.
