Joseph E. Carr, of Carver died Mar. 24 at the Jordan Hospital. He was 82. Born in Attleboro on Nov. 5, 1925, he was the son of Joseph and Nellie (Laffen) Carr.He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed over the years as a nurseryman, a welder, and a commercial fisherman. He was an avid Red Sox fan. He is survived by his six children; Michael J. Carr of Florida, Kevin F. Carr of Carver, Shawn P. Carr of NC, Martin Carr of Carver, Nancy Moen of Hanson, and David Carr of VT, his ten grandchildren, his six great grandchildren, and his six siblings; Miriam Duffany, Ellen Mansfield, Martin Carr, Sally McNally, David Carr, Susan Kavanough, and several nieces and nephews.A funeral Mass will be held on Mon. Mar. 31 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Main St. Rt. 58 ,Carver at 9:00AM. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1115 W. Chestnut St, Brockton, MA 02301.
