CHELMSFORD: Barbara P. (Spaulding) Caissie, age 76, a recent resident of Chelmsford, formerly of a Billerica and Lowell, died Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Palm Manor in Chelmsford.
Born in Lowell on April 1, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Vern E. and Isabel (Angove) Spaulding.
Mrs. Caissie was raised in Billerica, attended Billerica schools and was a member of the North Billerica Baptist Church.
She resided in Billerica for over 50 years and Lowell for 20 years until recently moving to Chelmsford.
Prior to her retirement in 1986, she was employed as a Nurses Aid at the New England Rehabilitation Hospital in Woburn for over 20 years.
According to her family, “she was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren”.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda L. Marciello and her husband Ken of Billerica; one son, Joseph E. Caissie, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Lowell; four grandchildren, Kristin M. Marciello of Lowell, Kenneth W. Marciello, Jr. of Billerica, Derek J. and Adam R. Caissie both of Lowell; one brother, Richard D. Spaulding and his wife Kathy of Lincoln, ME.
Barbara was the sister of the late Vern E. Spaulding, II and best friend of the late Edie Daly.
Calling hours Monday, March 31st, 4-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Tuesday, April 1st, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
